Northern Scandinavia
Arctic Circle, Norway & Sweden
Slow-grown botanicals from a landscape that rewards patience.
Sourcing
Above the Arctic Circle, summers are brief and intense, plants concentrate their actives quickly to survive. We work with family-run wildcrafters who follow Allemansrätten, the right-to-roam tradition that mandates leaving more than you take. Harvests are small, seasonal, and always wild.
Heritage
The Sámi people have foraged these forests for medicinal botanicals for centuries, passing down which slope holds which plant in which week. Modern Scandinavian phytotherapy descends directly from this oral tradition, refined by 20th-century university programs in Uppsala and Tromsø.
Journey
Harvested by hand in August, dried under low Arctic sun, then shipped to a GMP-certified extraction facility outside Oslo. We receive the standardised extract with a certificate of analysis tying it to the harvest week and forest district.
